By Lush Tan and William Sim
The Artisanal Milo Dinosaur is part of an ongoing series that explores flavour, memory, and cultural rituals through sculptural form. Each piece is hand sculpted, ensuring that no two are ever alike. Variations in posture and mass give every Milo Dinosaur its own gait and weight, making each sculpture a singular presence. Each also incorporates a drawing of a local dish, creating a distinctive pairing of food and drink that reflects everyday identity and personal preference.
This pair features two iconic comfort foods of the region, Wonton Noodles and Mee Goreng, both favourites of creators Lush Tan and William Sim. Beyond the playful form and culinary references, the sculptures are meant to evoke a simple, uplifting response, a smile in the mind, a comforting joy built on belonging.
